Members of the NCFBA would like to thank our Sponsor Mann Lake Ltd. for their generous contribution of protective gear for our youth bee program!
Jim Whiteside’s painting “Honey Bees at Work” (top left) was chosen for the March 2015 cover of American Bee Journal. It was also taken to Anaheim, California for auction at the 2015 American Beekeeping Federation Conference and raised over $700.00 for the ABF Honey Queen Program. You can see more of Jim’s art at his website, as well as at the High Springs Art Gallery in High Springs, Florida. Jim also has a free drawing each month, which you can enter by sending your name and email address to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Welcome to the home page of the North Central Florida Beekeepers Association (NCFBA)! We are a group of eight north-central Florida beekeepers clubs working to educate the public about honey bees and beekeeping. We also advise ways they can help to save other pollinators, including native Florida bees.
About the North Central Florida Beekeepers Association:
The North Central Florida Beekeepers Association strongly feels that we can do more for pollinators by joining together than we could as lone clubs. We are always looking for people dedicated to similar ideals who are interested in uniting with us. Please consider joining with us an individual or by becoming an affiliated club.
The North Central Florida Beekeepers Association’s efforts include public learning events, school programs, beekeeper mentoring, monthly meetings in many locations across north-central Florida, and more. At our monthly club meetings we share lots of information and welcome anyone interested in honey bees and other pollinators. We welcome non-beekeepers as well, but we do encourage all those who are able to get started in beekeeping.
The North Central Florida Beekeepers Association also holds several outreach events throughout north-central Florida each year. Our main yearly event is our National Honey Bee Day celebration. At this day-long function we welcome many great speakers, valuable learning opportunities, a fund-raising auction for our clubs, and more. See our event calendar for more information on the other events we hold throughout the year.
